Description
The Women's Giving Circle (WGC), administered by the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan, supports issues important to women in northeast Michigan. Established in late 2006, the circle created an endowed fund to make a lasting difference for women in local communities. Its four-county service area encompasses Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, and Presque Isle counties.
The program funds community work rather than a specified research discipline or scientific field. Women and men from the service area and beyond contribute to the circle's shared commitment to supporting women.
