The Women’s Initiative at the Community Foundation of St. Clair County supports programs, projects, and initiatives that promote educational growth. It gives preference to work that eliminates barriers affecting a child’s educational growth, placing children’s education at the center of its funding priorities.
The initiative also considers requests addressing the Foundation’s broader priorities: community and economic prosperity, cradle to career, and healthy lifestyles. It operates within the Foundation’s shared grantmaking process, which evaluates organizational capacity, financial stability, project feasibility, and potential impact. Applicants submit one application for Community Foundation grants, and the Program Team forwards the request to the appropriate committee.
