Description
This Horizon Europe call funds research projects investigating the disproportionate impacts of autocratic regimes, armed conflicts, and geopolitical shifts on the rights of women, LGBTIQ individuals, persons with disabilities, and minorities. Projects should analyze how legal and institutional frameworks are used to restrict rights, the role of civil society in resisting repression, and the effects of digital surveillance, algorithmic discrimination, and disinformation on vulnerable groups. A strong focus is placed on restricted access to sexual and reproductive health rights and gender-based violence during crises.
Proposals should take an interdisciplinary, data-driven approach, examining intersections of age, gender, sexual orientation, minority status, and migratory background. The aim is to develop robust methodologies, innovative advocacy strategies, and policy tools that connect grassroots experiences to broader geopolitical and legal frameworks. Engaging with policymakers, human rights organizations, and affected communities is essential. International cooperation is encouraged, and use of European Research Infrastructures and FAIR data principles is expected.
