Description
The Women’s Philanthropy Society, run by the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, awards grants each year to address a key issue facing women and families in the local community. Its Power of S.H.E.E. framework guides grantmaking toward positive, measurable impact and systemic change in four areas: safety and security, health and wellness, education, and economic empowerment.
The framework covers issues ranging from domestic violence and housing instability to mental health, early childhood and adult education, financial counseling, childcare, and workforce training. Education was the 2026 focus area. The society’s 2026 Community Conversation report identifies local gaps, barriers, and opportunities across early, K–12, higher, and adult education.
