    Description

WoodStock grants are European Commission-backed cascade funding administered by Ghent University through the EU-funded WoodStock project. They support SMEs, start-ups, non-profit organisations, and consortia led by these organisations to develop practical construction solutions using hardwood, damaged wood, low-quality wood, post-consumer wood, and residual wood. The aim is to reduce waste, strengthen local value chains, and create sustainable economic opportunities while embedding the New European Bauhaus values of together, sustainable, and beautiful.

One-year projects test, validate, and scale innovative zero-waste solutions in real-world settings. Supported work includes prototyping, experimental set-ups, physical and mechanical testing, certification preparation, co-creation, training, and communication. The program emphasises resource efficiency, longevity, environmental benefits, community engagement, and solutions that can be scaled and replicated across the wood construction value chain.
