Description
The Worcester County Weatherization Assistance Grant Program is a partnership between the Greater Worcester Community Foundation and National Grid. The program aims to empower nonprofit organizations to help low- and moderate-income, senior, veteran, disabled, and otherwise vulnerable households in Worcester County lower their energy bills through weatherization improvements. Grants are intended to supplement existing energy efficiency programs, enabling nonprofits to address pre-weatherization barriers (like health and safety issues) and provide direct weatherization services such as insulation and air sealing. Funding is prioritized for organizations currently engaged in this work, allowing them to expand their reach and fill gaps not fully addressed by other programs.
