Summary: Supports Worcester County nonprofits in helping low- and moderate-income households access weatherization and energy efficiency improvements.
This program, funded by National Grid in partnership with the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, provides grants to nonprofit organizations serving Worcester County, Massachusetts. The goal is to help low- and moderate-income households, as well as seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other challenged populations, overcome barriers to accessing weatherization services. Funding covers both pre-weatherization barrier mitigation (such as addressing health/safety issues that block weatherization) and direct weatherization assistance (like insulation and air sealing). The program is designed to supplement existing Mass Save and National Grid incentives, especially for households who are ineligible for, or have been deferred from, no-cost upgrades.
