Description
The Work4Progress initiative by la Caixa Foundation aims to foster the creation of quality employment for women and young adults in vulnerable situations in India, Mozambique, and Peru. The program supports networks of organizations to collaboratively design and implement employment-generating projects, and to promote access to financing for businesses within the Work4Progress ecosystem. There are two main funding modalities:
- Donation modality: For designing and implementing prototypes and accelerating inclusive business initiatives.
- Refundable financing modality: For piloting or scaling innovative financial vehicles that expand financial access for small businesses and social enterprises.
The program emphasizes systemic change, innovation, and sustainable development through multi-stakeholder platforms involving NGOs, microfinance institutions, universities, incubators, accelerators, and social enterprises.
