Description
The California Workforce Development Board (CWDB), in coordination with the California Employment Development Department, supports partnerships testing, scaling, or replicating career pathways in quantum and fusion. Projects connect education and employment through multiple entry and exit points spanning K–12 schools, community colleges, and four-year universities. The program emphasizes industry-recognized credentials, particularly short-term credentials, and training for jobs that do not require a four-year degree.
Supported work can include high school and community college career exploration, guidance for students pursuing related degrees, and outreach and supportive services for jobseekers facing employment barriers. Applicants may propose either a pathway-development project without direct participant services or a project that trains and places participants during the grant term.
