Description
The Wyoming Workforce Development Council provides Workforce System Support Grants to help grow and strengthen Wyoming’s workforce system. Funding comes from the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which supports programs that help job seekers and businesses and help youth and adults build careers. The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services manages WIOA in the state and serves as the council’s fiscal agent for these grants.
Requests must establish a need and demonstrate how the proposed spending benefits the grant. The application asks applicants to explain how their request would improve participant employment, retention, earnings, and credential attainment, as well as workforce quality and responsiveness to employers’ skill needs.
