Summary: Supports collaborative workshops to catalyze innovation and cross-institutional partnerships addressing research infrastructure and innovation gaps in New Mexico.
Key Information: At least two New Mexico institutions or research organizations must be represented in the proposal.
Description
The Workshop Awards program from New Mexico EPSCoR is designed to foster transformative partnerships and enhance research capacity throughout New Mexico. This funding supports collaborative, interdisciplinary workshops that bring together faculty, postdocs, students, educators, and subject matter experts from New Mexico academic institutions, non-profits, and national laboratories. The goal is to address critical gaps in research infrastructure, catalyze new ideas, and promote innovation relevant to New Mexico’s unique research challenges.
Workshops are intended to:
- Advance interdisciplinary research and workforce development.
- Encourage industry engagement and academic partnerships.
- Promote the application of science in policy and management.
Workshops should target topics aligned with NSF Research Focus Areas and/or New Mexico’s Science and Technology Plan.
