Description
New Mexico EPSCoR’s Research Infrastructure Optimization for New Mexico (RIO-NM) team offers Workshop Awards to catalyze transformative partnerships across the state’s research ecosystem. The program brings together faculty, postdoctoral researchers, students, educators, and subject matter experts to address self-identified gaps, foster innovation, and strengthen collaboration across disciplines, facilities, and institutions.
Supported working groups advance ideas and theories, analyze recent or existing data, engage industry in research, develop industry-academic workforce partnerships, or explore science’s use in policy and management. Topics should align with NSF Research Focus Areas and/or New Mexico’s Science and Technology Plan. Outcomes may include ideas for future competitive proposals, publications, or new industry and research collaborations, with learning shared among relevant stakeholders. Awards do not fund new data collection, conferences, or proposal writing.
