Support can cover student or researcher travel bursaries, venue costs and catering. The scheme’s scientific scope is broad within clay mineral science, with applications assessed on scientific merit.
Preference is given to proposals with matched funding, Mineralogical Society members and applicants actively associated with the CMG. Awards are made at the CMG committee’s discretion. Supported workshops are shared with the wider community through publicity and published reports on the Society website and in the CMG newsletter, Phyllosophical News.
