Description
The DAAD Cambridge Research Hub supports workshops and seed funding that help Cambridge scholars establish collaborations with colleagues at German universities and research institutes. It covers German-related and comparative themes across the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, from any historical period. Academic quality and strategic importance are central priorities, alongside a clear German-related theme and strong institutional and scholarly links with Germany.
The Hub also encourages collaborations extending beyond bilateral partnerships, including networks connecting British and German researchers with colleagues in North America, Central and Eastern Europe and the developing world. Collaboration with other DAAD centres is welcomed. Workshops and projects may incorporate public engagement, helping the Hub reach audiences beyond the immediate university community while supporting scholarly exchange and international networks for graduate students.
