The World Endometriosis Society (WES) Early Career Investigator Awards provide catalyst funding for research on endometriosis or adenomyosis. The programme gives equal support to clinical and allied health research, basic science, and social science, with two awards in each area. It supports early-career investigators in advancing knowledge while developing their research careers.
Projects are assessed on the importance of the problem, the methods and approach, plans for knowledge dissemination or future research, and the award’s likely impact on the applicant’s career. Pilot and proof-of-principle proposals are considered, with particular emphasis on knowledge translation and subsequent research. Funded investigators share their findings through an oral presentation at WCE2029 and an end-of-grant report.
