Description
This hybrid residency is designed for Indigenous screenwriters at any career stage who are working on adapting their creative work for the screen, with a focus on futurism themes. Participants engage in a blend of self-directed writing, faculty-led workshops, group discussions, and one-on-one mentorship. The program is structured with an online preparatory week followed by an immersive on-campus experience at the Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada. Participants benefit from 24/7 studio access, peer networking, and opportunities to showcase their work. The residency encourages both individual and collaborative applications, supporting writers, novelists, short story authors, and playwrights aiming to develop film, television, or episodic web projects. All Indigenous participants receive a full scholarship covering program fees, accommodation, and meal plans.
