Description
The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) funds projects that strengthen connections across regional food supply chains and help Washington farms, ranches, food processors, and distributors reach markets within the state. The program addresses infrastructure barriers that can limit sales to schools and other community markets, with the goal of improving farm and food business viability.
Supported work involves post-harvest handling, aggregation, processing, manufacturing, storage, distribution, or sale of food grown, caught, or raised in Washington for human consumption. The previous round offered Equipment Plus grants for equipment purchases addressing a specific infrastructure gap or market-access barrier, and Large Project grants for facilities benefiting multiple farms or food businesses.
