Description
The Wyoming Intertie Community Investment Program (WICIP) was established at the Wyoming Community Foundation by Grid United, an independent company that builds high-voltage electric transmission lines. The program supports communities in Albany, Carbon, and Platte counties, where Wyoming Intertie—a transmission line connecting the eastern and western U.S. electric grids in Wyoming—will be located.
WICIP funds ongoing operations and project-specific costs to enhance quality of life and strengthen these communities. It seeks work with broad community impact, creative responses to local problems, and innovative approaches to economic and community development. Priorities include leveraging other support, encouraging residents to address community needs, and responding to changing or emerging needs.
