The Young Collaborative Research Grant (YCRG), part of the Collaborative Research Fund administered by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council, aims to foster the development of early-career academic staff by providing them with experience in leading and managing collaborative research projects. The YCRG supports group research (not equipment-only) that spans multiple disciplines and/or institutions, with the goal of strengthening research capacity and preparing young academics for future, larger-scale collaborative funding. Funding covers staff, equipment, and general research expenses.
