Description
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) provides Young Investigator Grants as startup support for less experienced researchers pursuing promising childhood cancer research ideas. The three-year program supports postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows, and instructors who demonstrate a commitment to a research career in pediatric cancer. It aims to cultivate future investigators while helping early ideas develop into long-term research projects.
The program combines research support with mentored career development. Applicants must identify a mentor and include a career development plan, with detailed training activities weighed heavily during review. Translational and clinical research projects are encouraged. Proposals focused on social determinants of health are permitted when they emphasize oncologic rather than psychosocial outcomes.
