Description
The Lundbeck Foundation’s Young Investigator Prize celebrates young scientists whose significant contributions have advanced science and improved understanding of health and biomedical sciences in the broadest sense. It recognises work across the research value chain, from basic to clinical research, combining a personal prize with support for the winner’s research activities.
The prize focuses on original scientific achievements and their potential societal impact, including scientific articles, new methods or models, and tools that help patients. It also recognises dissemination of scientific advances through teaching, public engagement, science communication and outreach; the use of discoveries to improve treatments or conditions; and scientific citizenship, professional involvement and entrepreneurship. The Foundation encourages nominations of qualified scientists from all backgrounds, reflecting its view that diversity strengthens science.
