Description
The EMBO Young Investigator Programme supports early-career life scientists establishing independent laboratories in Europe and eligible global partner locations. It aims to identify future research leaders rather than fund a single specified research project. Participants receive four years of networking support, training, mentoring and assistance for laboratory members.
Young Investigators join an international network of more than 800 current and former Young Investigators, Installation Grantees and Global Investigators. Scientific exchange includes annual meetings, topic-focused meetings, collaborative visits and exchanges between laboratories. The programme also supports leadership development, mentorship by EMBO Members and access to research facilities, helping group leaders develop both their scientific work and laboratory management skills.
