Description
The Young Professional Internships Program (YPIP) is administered by American Councils for International Education and funded by the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent. This eight-week summer program helps build U.S.-style internships within Uzbek businesses and organizations, connecting university students with local employers seeking to develop young talent. Placements at small and medium-sized businesses focus on business and STEM: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The full-time internship combines practical workplace experience with business mentorship, cohort and team activities, business English practice, and professional development events. Participants engage with industry leaders and gain access to an alumni network. The program aims to expand professional capacity, strengthen networks, deepen understanding of international business practices, and help participants become self-reliant learners.
