Description
The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) supports young Japanese researchers’ participation in the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings in Lindau, Germany. Co-hosted by the Council and Foundation for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, the meetings bring young researchers from around the world together with Nobel Laureates. The program aims to foster talented researchers with international perspectives and experience who will contribute to the future of Japanese academia.
This is support for meeting participation rather than a separate research project. The approximately week-long meetings offer lectures, panel discussions, poster sessions, and informal exchanges with Nobel Laureates, encouraging intellectual curiosity and international peer networks. Meeting themes rotate among physics, chemistry, and physiology/medicine, with periodic interdisciplinary and economics meetings.
