Description
The Illinois Arts Council's General Operating Support (GOS) grant provides essential funding to eligible not-for-profit organizations delivering arts programming to their communities. The program recognizes organizations with ongoing arts activities and a demonstrated commitment to accessibility and relevance for diverse audiences. An optional Youth Employment in the Arts (YEA) component offers additional support for organizations to employ Illinois youth (ages 14–22) in meaningful, supervised arts-related roles. Awards are determined by formula (GOS) or request (YEA), and funding is contingent upon state appropriations and applicant compliance.
