Funding Amounts: Up to $10,000 per project for Tracks 1 & 2; up to $5,000 per project for Tracks 3 & 4; 12-month project period.

Key Information: Projects must take place in MD or Chesapeake Bay watershed portions of DC, DE, PA, VA, or WV; match required for some school-based requests.
This program funds projects that engage youth in environmental education and support educator training using the Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE) model. Grants are available for outdoor investigations, classroom or community-based improvements, professional development for educators, and in-school MWEE projects for Pre-K–12 students. The aim is to increase youth knowledge, foster stewardship, and support environmental literacy goals within schools and communities across the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
