Description
Inland Empire Community Foundation’s Youth Grantmakers program supports work that empowers young people in Riverside, San Bernardino, and the Coachella Valley. Its 2026 student teams identified academic stress, mental health, financial education, youth community, minority support—including LGBTQ and immigration issues—and beneficial uses of artificial intelligence as priorities.
Youth Grantmakers is also a six-month leadership program for high school students ages 15–18. Participants research local issues, visit nonprofits, analyze proposals, and decide which proposals to fund. The grant connects youth-focused work with funding decisions made by students examining needs in their communities.
