Description
Youth Grantmakers in Action (YGA) is a youth-led initiative of the Winston-Salem Foundation that empowers teens (ages 15–18) in Forsyth County, North Carolina, to play an active role in philanthropy. YGA members develop and manage an annual grantmaking program, awarding funding to youth-led projects that address community issues and create meaningful, positive change for local youth. The program provides participants with leadership experience, decision-making skills, and opportunities to represent youth perspectives in the community. Grants are awarded annually to projects designed and led by youth groups, with a strong emphasis on authentic youth engagement and diversity.
