Description
The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP), administered by the Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA), is designed to address the needs of youth and young adults experiencing or at risk of homelessness across Idaho. The program is currently in the planning phase, focused on developing a Coordinated Community Plan (CCP) with input from stakeholders statewide. Once the CCP is finalized and approved, IHFA will begin sub-granting funds to eligible service providers to implement projects that improve housing stability and outcomes for vulnerable youth populations. Supported activities may include emergency shelter, transitional housing, rapid re-housing, and permanent supportive housing, all aimed at building a coordinated crisis response system.
