Description
The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Professional Fellows Program (YSEALI PFP) is a two-way U.S. Department of State exchange administered through American Councils for International Education and funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. It gives emerging Southeast Asian leaders first-hand experience in U.S. public and private sector offices while strengthening professional expertise, leadership capabilities, and ties with American counterparts.
The program supports work in civic engagement; innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment; society and governance; and sustainability and the environment. Participants gain practical experience and build networks for continued collaboration. Follow-on reciprocal exchanges allow select American professionals to visit Southeast Asia, supporting knowledge sharing with alumni in their home communities.
