Description
This opportunity funds the development, deployment, and operation of innovative clean maritime solutions with a focus on energy efficiency. The aim is to accelerate the adoption of zero emission technologies in the UK maritime sector, supporting the transition to net zero by demonstrating these technologies in real-world environments for three years. Projects may include vessel energy efficiency technology and associated infrastructure upgrades, targeting significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions per unit of transport work.
The competition is part of the UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UK SHORE) programme, delivered by Innovate UK in partnership with the Department for Transport, and supports the UK Government’s Maritime Decarbonisation Strategy.
