Summary: An AMD-sponsored global competition for models forecasting human movement and collision risk to help robots work safely alongside people.
Key Information: Prize eligibility requires an AMD AI Developer Program account and completed ROCm certification shared with Zindi for approval.
Powered by Zindi and sponsored by AMD, this global challenge focuses on predicting human movement so robots can work safely alongside people in warehouses, factories, and homes. Participants build models forecasting human motion and collision risk using real-world human–robot interaction data from the open-source CHICO Pose Forecasting dataset, supplemented with new synthetic scenarios.
The competition has two phases. The top 40 ranked teams in Phase 1 will be invited to Phase 2 for a chance to win cash prizes. In that second phase, participants submit code for testing against previously unseen human–robot scenarios in a simulation environment built on Gazebo, MuJoCo, or Genesis. AMD-sponsored cloud computing and robotics learning resources will be available to all participants.
