Description
The Alternative and Clean Energy Program (ACE) provides grants, loans, and financing guarantees for the utilization, development, and construction of alternative and clean energy projects in Pennsylvania. It is administered jointly by the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and Department of Environmental Protection, under the direction of the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).
Supported work includes facilities producing or distributing alternative energy and fuels, manufacturing generation equipment or energy-saving components, research and development facilities, and compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling infrastructure. Clean energy activities include high-performance buildings, energy efficiency improvements, conservation, and replacement of conventional energy systems. Available assistance depends on both the applicant type and project category.
