Business Training Grants
Business Training Grants support Wyoming businesses with job-related training that closes employees’ skill gaps, strengthens their current occupational skills and helps businesses remain competitive.
Funder: Wyoming Department of Workforce Services
Due Dates: Rolling (apply 30–110 calendar days before training, travel, or pre-work)
Funding Amounts: Up to $3,000 per trainee per fiscal year ($4,000 in preferred industries); $75,000 per business per fiscal year

Description
The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services’ Business Training Grants help Wyoming businesses correct employees’ skill deficiencies or upgrade skills in their current occupations. Training must relate directly to each trainee’s job or craft and help the business remain competitive. The intended results include greater productivity, efficiency or profitability; lower turnover; and improved employee performance or wages.
The program prioritizes construction, energy, manufacturing, healthcare and social assistance, finance and insurance, technology, and hospitality and tourism. Training leading to a certification or license receives priority over conferences or training without that outcome. Grants are not intended to replace an existing training budget or funds from another source.
