Description
The Oregon Department of Transportation’s Community Charging Rebates program helps fill gaps in Oregon’s EV charging infrastructure and supports equitable access to electric transportation. It provides cash rebates for qualified charging equipment at multifamily housing, workplaces, and public parking areas. Applicants can reserve funding before installation or apply after completing an eligible project.
Round 5 adds DC fast charging alongside Level 2 charging, with most funding directed to DC fast charging projects. Seventy percent of rebate resources are reserved for rural or predominantly low-income communities. Separate funding pools incentivize projects in ten counties that have not previously received program rebates. Round 5 uses federal funding through Oregon’s Climate Equity and Resilience Through Action program.
