Description
The Dual Training Grant reimburses employers or organizations of employers for related instruction that helps employees earn industry-recognized degrees, certificates, or credentials. Established by the Minnesota Legislature in 2015 and administered by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE), it supports the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry’s Dual-Training Pipeline. Programs combine formal instruction with structured workplace learning tied to occupational competency standards.
Funding helps employers create or expand earn-and-learn training in advanced manufacturing, agriculture, child care, health care services, information technology, legal cannabis, and transportation. The program brings employers and training providers together to develop collaborative educational solutions, helping employees learn occupational fundamentals and gain transferable credentials.
