Description
The Germany/Hong Kong Joint Research Scheme is a bilateral program established by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to foster research collaboration between Hong Kong and Germany. The scheme funds travel for collaborative research visits, primarily supporting research postgraduate (RPg) students from Hong Kong to gain overseas experience and training at partner German institutions.
Applicants may request support for one- or two-year projects, and the scheme is open to all disciplines. The focus is on facilitating long-term research partnerships, supporting the development of young researchers, and encouraging institutional or corporate co-funding where possible.
