Description
The Hadassah-Brandeis Institute (HBI) Research Awards provide annual funding for innovative research or artistic projects that advance Jewish women’s and gender studies. The program encourages interdisciplinary approaches and welcomes projects that deepen the understanding of gender in Jewish studies, bring Jewish perspectives to broader women’s and gender studies, or foster interfaith collaborations. Supported topics include, but are not limited to: gender and antisemitism, the Holocaust, Jewish-Black relations, feminism, disability studies, LGBTQ studies, women’s rights and religious law, and contemporary Israel. Both research and creative arts proposals are accepted, provided they address gender as a central component.
