Description
The Hadassah-Brandeis Institute (HBI) Research Awards provide funding for groundbreaking research and creative projects that advance the study of Jewish women’s and gender studies. The awards aim to foster scholarship that uses gender as a lens to enrich Jewish studies, brings Jewish studies perspectives into women’s and gender studies, or explores interreligious collaborations involving Jewish women. Projects may address topics such as gender and antisemitism, Jewish feminism, LGBTQ Jewish studies, Jewish-Black relations, women’s rights and religious law, and more. Both research and artistic proposals are welcome, and projects are selected based on excellence and potential impact in the field.
