Description
The Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP), administered by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), helps new or expanding businesses in Greater Minnesota train workers for new jobs quickly and efficiently. It is part of the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership’s broader effort to meet workforce needs, expand work opportunities and retain high-quality jobs in Minnesota.
Grants support employer-specific training, including basic and advanced technical skills, industry equipment, process and quality practices, safety, work-related language, soft skills and train-the-trainer instruction. Training may be delivered in-house or by an educational institution, government agency, consultant or equipment vendor. The partnership prioritizes short-term training connected to full-time employment in growth sectors.
