The Student Competition for Advancing Dental Research and its Application (SCADA) is a prestigious national program co-sponsored by Dentsply Sirona and the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR). SCADA aims to foster the next generation of dental leaders by providing pre-doctoral dental students with a platform to present their innovative research at the AADOCR/CADR Annual Meeting. Each U.S. dental school selects one student to participate, who then competes in either Clinical Science/Public Health Research or Basic and Translational Science Research. The competition emphasizes both scientific excellence and professional development, offering participants recognition, networking, and career advancement opportunities within the dental research community.
