    Description

The New Mexico Tourism Department’s Tourism Event Growth & Sustainability Program (TEGS) supports tourism events based and managed in New Mexico. It aims to grow sustainable events that attract out-of-state visitors, encourage in-state travel with overnight stays, and deliver experiences aligned with New Mexico True’s “adventure steeped in culture” brand.

Three tracks address different stages of event development. The Accelerator provides technical assistance to improve digital discoverability and event operations, preparing events for marketing or sponsorship. Event Marketing & Promotion (EMP), formerly TEGS Co-Op, provides coordinated advertising through predetermined, co-branded marketing packages. Sponsorship supports events ready to demonstrate advertising potential, attendance growth, and economic impact while increasing exposure for New Mexico True.
