About Administration for Community Living
The Administration for Community Living (ACL), part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, works to help older adults and people of all ages with disabilities live independently and participate fully in their communities. It brings together programs that share this common goal.
ACL funds aging and disability services, independent living, elder justice, and disability and rehabilitation research, including the national institute focused on disability, independent living, and rehabilitation research. Its programs reach communities across the country.
Grants and cooperative agreements go to states, tribes, universities, and nonprofit organizations, with eligibility and amounts set per opportunity. Organizations and researchers can find current ACL opportunities and deadlines on Atom.
