Webinar Recap: Atom Admin Training Webinar

Getting the Most Out of Admin Analytics

background image

We just released Admin Analytics, a new set of dashboards for research offices on Atom. It shows how researchers at your institution use the platform, which funders they're paying attention to, and where you can step in to help.

If you're an admin on Atom, this webinar is for you. Andrew Dean, our Founding Engineer, and Hamilton Evans, our CTO, will walk through the dashboards live. They'll show you how to read each view, what to look for each week, and how to turn the data into action.

What we'll cover

Your weekly overview. A quick tour of the Overview dashboard: researcher counts, favorited grants, award dollars, and proposal progress, plus the 30-day comparison charts for active researchers, grant visits, searches, and favorites. We'll also cover the "Set Up Your Team" checklist for anyone still getting started.

The six analytics tabs. How to filter by department and date range, and what each tab tells you:

  • Activity: engagement, feature adoption, and what researchers are searching for
  • Researchers: new users, regulars, and accounts that have gone quiet
  • Grants: what researchers are finding, new matches, and opportunities closing soon
  • Funders: engagement trends, rising funders, and which departments favor which funders
  • Grant Emails: how your grant emails perform, from send through proposal start
  • Proposals: where your pipeline stands and which submissions are at risk

Finding the gaps. How to use "Adoption by Researchers" to spot departments that haven't picked up Atom yet, "Overlooked Funders" to find funders that match many of your researchers but no one is looking at, and "Closing Soon, Not Seen Yet" to catch deadlines two to six weeks out that matched researchers haven't seen.

Acting on what you find. How to use "Needs a Boost" to send a one-click reminder to inactive researchers, and how the weekly "Opportunities" suggestions help you draft personalized emails in a few minutes.

Reporting up. How to export any view to CSV for your own reports, leadership updates, or board meetings.

We'll finish with open Q&A. Bring your questions, and tell us what you'd like to see next.

Who should attend

  • Research development and sponsored programs staff with admin access to Atom
  • Research office leaders who report on faculty engagement and funding activity
  • Anyone at your institution responsible for getting researchers to use Atom

You don't need to have opened Admin Analytics yet. If you have, bring a question about your own data.
