American Association for Thoracic Surgery Foundation

The American Association for Thoracic Surgery Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery. It works to advance the science and practice of cardiothoracic surgery by supporting research, education, and the development of the specialty workforce.

The foundation funds research grants, fellowships, and career development awards that support surgeon-scientists and investigators across cardiothoracic surgery. These opportunities help train the next generation of leaders and fund research that improves the treatment of cardiothoracic disease.

Awards are made through competitive review and are generally aimed at residents, fellows, and early-career surgeons and investigators, with eligibility defined per program. Surgeons, trainees, and researchers can find current opportunities and deadlines on Atom.
