The Fulbright Finland Foundation is a private, independent, not-for-profit organization based in Helsinki, Finland. Established in 1949, the foundation promotes wider exchange of knowledge and professional talents through educational contacts between Finland and the United States. The foundation supports internationalization of education and research, helps U.S. and Finnish institutions create linkages, and has an extensive alumni network of over 6,200 students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals. They are funded by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, the U.S. Department of State, the Finland-America Educational Trust Fund, private foundations, higher education institutions, alumni, and private donors.
