Organization settings let owners and admins configure how Atom works for your institution.

General

Review your organization's core details, such as its name and email domains, which are set during onboarding, and manage your logo and, on white-label plans, your brand colors.

Self-registration approval

By default, anyone with one of your email domains can sign up on their own, and first-time SSO logins join your group automatically. If you would rather review those people first, ask your Atom contact and we will turn on admin approval for your organization.

With it on, anyone requesting access sees a "Pending approval" message and is held out of the app until an admin responds. Admins get an email alert for each request and can approve or deny it from the admin dashboard. Approved users get a welcome email and are added to the group, and denied users can request access again later. Invite links are unaffected and continue to work as before.

Departments and org chart

Set up your department structure and organizational chart. Departments power filtering and reporting throughout Atom, and the org chart reflects your admin hierarchy.

Faculty Upload API

Organizations with Faculty Upload API access can create API keys and send faculty rosters to Atom as CSV files. See the Faculty Upload API guide for the file format, authentication, request examples, responses, and key rotation.

Organization Rules

Set standards that apply to every proposal in your organization: the instructions Atom follows when it writes a proposal guide, the documents and templates every proposal starts with, and who in your office is notified as those documents come in. Rules can apply to everything or only to a specific funder or funder type, and they can be conditional, for example only attaching a cost sharing form for grants that require cost sharing.
