For researchers

Overview

Atom is built around how researchers actually pursue funding: find the right opportunities, turn the strongest ones into proposals, and bring in the collaborators a grant calls for. This section points you to the parts of the platform you will use most.

New to Atom? Start with the Quickstart to set up your profile and see your first matched grants, then come back here.

Discover funding

Your For You dashboard is a personalized feed of opportunities matched to your research, and search and filters let you work the full grant database directly. Save the best ones to lists, share them with your team, and let Atom check your eligibility before you invest time.

Build proposals

When a grant is worth pursuing, Proposals turns the full solicitation into a clear, shareable plan. Atom breaks down every requirement and deadline, helps you draft and review documents with AI, and keeps the whole team working from one place through to export.

Find collaborators

Many grants call for co-PIs and complementary expertise. The collaborators tools help you search your institution's faculty directory, find collaborators across institutions, and build a shared team workspace.

Make Atom yours

Your recommendations are only as good as what Atom knows about you. Keep your research profile and research interests up to date, upload a document whenever there is something new to add, and manage email and notification preferences in account settings.
